After some fork advice, im starting my hard tail build with a 456 summer season frame, im gathering parts of which some are new and some are second hand.
I have the chance for some 2007 marzocchi all mountain 2's for £130, in excellent condition, use for the bike will be rough single track with small small jumps etc and hopefully trail center type stuff once i progress a bit.
are these forks worth the money or should i be looking for something different?

Avoid them if they have got ATA because they will probably explode.
160mm travel on a Sumer Season is spot on for really hard riding, I have got 160mm domains & use mine for freeride & downhill. It is a bit too slack for general cross country with all that fork travel, tight turns take a lot of effort though it does still climb well.
For the money they should be ok depending on condition.
I would look for a set of Rockshox Pikes or Revelations, they would be much better for trail centre riding.
The Summer Season is a really good fun bike & absolutely bomb proof but aimed more at freeride than trail centresTransition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
I guess something around 120mm of travel would probably work well for trail riding but you will want something tougher than RS Rebas or Fox F120's. Maybe some shortened Pikes or Revelations would work or even some Recons or Epicons.
You will probably want a fairly long steerer though because the Summer Season frame has a short head tube which is perfect keeping the front end low with longer forks but you might want several spacers under the stem with a shorter forkTransition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
