rattling cable outers

i have an annoying rattle that have finally figured out....its my outers clattering against each other.
im sure removing the (stupid) secondary levers on my bars will rid me of the additional outers but any ideas what i can do to stop the rattling in the mean time?
i though of stickybacked velcro loops wrapped around one of the cables to act as a cushion, but i only have white colored and coloring it in with black marker might look stupid
any thoughts?

im stupid.....i have silver outers (thought they were black), i just stuck some of the velcros stuff on. think it looks ok
