Fox 40 annoying Grinding Noise

when I compress before a jump the forks make an awful grinding noise on the stanchions on the uplift / lip of the jump

Some says it's the shrink wrap but I've checked that

Any ideas.....

    strip clean and inspect.

    worn bushes? crap on the seals?
