I can afford around £700, it has to be available through Halfords C2W as thats the company my employer uses.
tempted with the boardman as its the cheapest and very close to the geometry of the bike i ride now .

buy the one you prefer from your test ride and that fits you the best.
It's also helpful if this is the one that you think is the nicest looking etc, but comfort, and fitment should come before any other factor tbh0
