Travel insurance

I was wondering what travel insurance people take out when travelling to European sportives? In the past I taken out policies through British Cycling that includes additional cover for competitive events? I'm just about to purchase my insurance for the Tilff Bastogne Tilff and just thought I'd check there wasn't a better alternative?

AFAIK Tilff Bastogne Tilff is not a competitive event (no timing or classification was provided when I have ridden it but that is some years ago) so you should be ok with regular insurance.
