Are there any alternatives?

Also, I can buy one from the US for about £36 + £6 postage whereas in the UK the cheapest I can find it from Googling is still ~£60. What's that all about?
More problems but still living....

    so import duties lets say 5% vat 20% and a couriers handling charge could take it over £60

    and not really for less money.

    That's if you get hit for import duty. But my point really was why the hell is it so expensive in the UK compared to the US?
