I just completed my first gear installation and have to say it is working a dream.
Apart from when I stand on the pedals and push - the gears then slip.
Can anyone suggest what could be the problem?

No same cassette. would have taken it off though to repair a spoke.

If the cassette is worn a new chain will skip.
First make sure it is indexed properly.
