Bought these 2 recently, the 749 is for the wife and the Sport classic is for me. I'd lost my motorcyling mojo... this rediscovered it again for me :)

Awsome piece of kit.

It'a painful admitting this, because they are very, very pretty bikes... But I just don't like them. There's something there I'm not keen on and don't really know why!

749 is such a lovely bike. Used to ride a 1098 back in the states, and much prefered the 749 since the power is more manageable.

I've only ridden the 749 twice... it didn't do a lot for me to be honest, a little revvy and too hard on the wrists. Nice machine to look after and prep for the wife though.

Some of my previous bikes, last 3 years... i've been searching hard for my mojo :)

That's an impressive collection you have there!

I got into supermotos while in the U.K., and ended up falling in love with them. Can't wait to be able to afford one here.

My dream bike has to be the Duc 916 sp Foggy rep, i rememeber sitting on one at a bike show and was amazed at just how light a bike it was. I keep toying with the idea of doing my test and transfaring over to two wheels but i know a few people who've been killed on bikes so have that niggling thought at the back of my head :(
What if your dreams and fears existed in the same place? What if to get to heaven, you had to brave hell? What if everything you've ever wanted cost you everything you've ever achieved? Would you still go there?

I know one or two who've been killed too mate, i know others who've died of cancer and others who've just kinda died.

HOwever, for me biking was about LIVING... not about dying.. It was about living the dream of being a racer and winning trophies (well, 1 actually, but 1 more than none)

I've owned or ridden most bikers dream bikes.... They're incredible machines and i've loved owning each and every one :)

The motorbike purist in me hates that, simply because many of the bits are very very wrong, forks, calipers, caliper mounts for a start.

For me, something like this Guzzi cafe racer and obviously my Ducati do the 'classic' look a lot better

LOL far from it mate, i'm a Scouser <40 with short hair. I just love motorbikes, recently my tastes have changed from the R1, 916, etc to the more 'classic' look. I also am the most anal person to ever walk the earth and do not allow ANY dirt on any of my bikes.

I've just looked at all the pics and thought 'Hmmmmm motorbikes, I could get one for the commute'

Then I remembered that I'm completely unable to stay on one and my last memory of skating along the grass verge on the A1 was not a pleasurable experience.

Some people are born to ride motorbikes. Others are not. Finding out which one you are can be tricky.

All I can say is thank the Lord for leather and armour. I'm still amazed when you see chumps on 750's in shorts and trainers.

You get them much more in the states, including tards on hayabusas and r1s and such, riding with no helmet, flip flops and a tank top.

    Road.
    kill.
