    Hi Leezer

Zaskars have been around for years. I remember seeing one when I was 17 and the guy in the local bike shop owned one thinking thats an awesome piece of kit

Never had a Zaskar myself but have had a few GTs and still have my Avalanche 0.0. I got this just after the GT / Schwinn conglomerate went bankrupt in 2001. It had a major rebuild in 2007 as I pretty much stripped it down replacing wheels, shocks and brakes as well as a few other parts

Good luck with the build, hope it goes to plan

Great frame you have there, look forward to the build progressing.

I have the same one myself (although yours looks much shinier!), built up for trail use with full xt, reba's and lots of fsa carbon and other lightweight parts. You should be able to get a light build no worries.

You dont see many of the newer zaskars about but they are great - very comfy for an alu frame with plenty of give from the back and climbing is something else. These are great fun too on fast flowing singletrack.

Enjoy the build and here is a pic of mine (not very good mind) to encourage you.
