Tommorrow (monday), I'm riding into New York City Jersey to be at Ground Zero by around 10am.

So what you say, well this is going to be a the main road tunnel, the Holland Tunnel which is being shut tomorrow to motor cars simply to allow those of us on thePolice Unity Tour.

Its an incredibly rare occurrance and I'm so excited at the chance to ride throu this tunnel. Ground Zero with somewhere around 700-800 law enforcement officers will be a moving visit.

More details about it on my blog.

Make sure you ride through it in lots of crazy S bends that would get you squished on a normal weekday,

    Some circles would help too.

Sounds like a lovely day. Its always fascinating when you have large public events like that in large cities like NY and LDN.

Though I'd genuinely feel nervous about being around that many NYC police while on my bike!
  • Not a good day to RLJ then?

    Enjoy.
Nobody told me we had a communication problem

If you're not travelling from home to your normal place of work or school etc., does it really count as a commute? ;)

    Enjoy.

It was a great day to RLJ as the police stopped the traffic at every junction on the 60 miles we rode. Riding the tunnel was fun - no traffic and a chance to enjoy yourself. Imagine rifding the Dartford, Mersey or Tyne Tunnel (road tunnel) without traffic.

I'd heard there was a problem with too many cars in NYC- its all untrue - see the pics on my blog from NYC- we say no cars

Far too complicated for the Yanks and besides they would want to have time outs etc
