Pain in the nuts - Comfortable saddle / cycling shorts combo

I recently changed over to a pair of Altura Gel cycling shorts.
The padding really didn't seem 'sufficient' (hey, I'm not modest) after a month or so, but I thought I'd be able to cope - but recently I've noticed that I've been getting a bit of 'discomfort' around the groin area after cycling for a long time.
I've also recently changed to a Fizik Aliante saddle.
Could you guys recommend a pair of cycling shorts that have better padding around the 'delicate' areas?
Also, if I was going to go for a more 'comfortable' saddle, what should be top of my list? A Brooks, perhaps?

Brooks Swallow in Titanium :-) Once you get a decent saddle thicker padding in your shorts isn't necessary.Say... That's a nice bike..
