Pedal internal workings broken

When cycling this afternoon my Shimano SPD right pedal came off the bolt which attaches the pedal to the crankarm. On closer inspection ball bearings were everywhere.
Is it repareable or just cheaper to get a new pair of pedals?

    yes, new bearings etc.. and service it.
