New bike assembly and checks

Hello!

Purchase a new bike so rejoined the forum.......forgot my old username :oops:

Bought the bike online so I will need to set it up and check it myself. What do I need to do to set it up correctly. I do the basic maintenance on my other bikes myself but have always bought my new bikes pre assembled and ready to go.

    Bit vague there. Probably some tools.
    Couple of allen keys, maybe a screwdriver, spanner for the pedals.
    I don't do smileys.

    Basically i have bought a carrera fury online. Aside from handlebars and pedals , will there be much else to to adjust or check before use or do they come pretty much ready to go?

    Hi
    i would just go round all the bolts and check for security
    headset adjustment general stuff ,
    the gears may need a fettle if not now in a short will when the cables give a little but other than that happy riding :)
