Stumbled across this video of some dark peak ladybower area,

http://vimeo.com/22643051

Bit bewildered as to where it is,where they start from as there is a distinct lack of rocks, after the first moorland section they descend through some woods and appear to turn right on the road at the bottom, so possibly some where west of derwent or howden res ?
A bit further on the A57 bridge can be seen in the distance but looks nothing like my usual route across to WLT , the last descent i recognise as the bit behind the ladybower inn,not ridden that bit yet although all looks like a good route, top quality video too.
If any one can give any info on this route would be appreciated, ibbo , ratty :D

The first part looks like one of the footpaths over Win Hill, dropping down to Yorkshire Bridge.

The second part looks like the footpath along Derwent Edge.

Don't forget that you have no legal right to ride along these paths.

Which is a shame as they look bloody good fun to ride.

    Yup all cheeky stuff.
The moorland stuff looks like the stuff on the tops above WLT.
The last drop is the one from the BW sign at WLT that drops steeply behind the Pub.Not on any map.I've ridden the last bit but probably wouldn't again
Some of the woodland stuff looks like "Narnia" a cheeky trail accessed just behind the monument at Hope Cross(haven't ridden that for years) and the drop from the junction at the top of the Hagg farm switchbacks.

Could be tempted to try the cheeky Derwent edge descent next week ,I really should buy a proper map or book of the area.

    When?I might be available.
It's VERY steep and there a Pilon near the bottom with a support cable that runs straight across the track...so beware

The cable is near the bottom and comes up quickly :D Turn left at the bottom and you ride directly behind the Inn then turn right and you'e on the usual descent to the Pub.
Could've done Friday at a push but working Thursday.

We just carry on along the waters edge for about 1/2 mile (towards the bottom of the Beast)then turn sharp left up the steep track that brings you out at the gate you originally arrive at if you go past the logging 8) better than all that Tarmac!
