I am in desperate need of an upgrade, and I'm looking for an entry level road bike which is versatile enough to use for the occasional triathlon/road race, but also use to commute in. I'm 21 and reasonably fit but lanky (183cm/6ft 70kgs/11st), and comfort isn't a major issue. Price however is - trying to find something in the £500-700 bracket if possible.

From what I have gathered, if I want to be looking for Tiagra if possible, but please correct me if I'm wrong on that (with regards to what is an option within my price range).

2010 models seem to be loads cheaper, and I have found the 2010 Cannondale CAAD8 Tiagra TD & the 2010 Claud Butler Vincenza in my price range, both with Tiagra components, with the Vincenza being the cheaper of the two by approx. £100.

I was just wondering if any of you had any strong feelings as to which would be better?

I've put links to the specs below.

I could well be well off target by looking at either of these bikes, and so all help/suggestions would be appreciated!

Cheers
