I presume this is the correct place for my post,
i have an old steel mtb frame that i have converted into a tourer, my question is that its only weakness (asides from weight!) is that it has a built in steel mech hanger, so if it breaks it cant be replaced.
If i got one of these http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=32466 would it be a good option to put my mind at ease for if the unlikely happens, or are these emergency hangers a waste of time?
thanks

Your steel hanger won't break, it will bend, and can be bent back.
Aluminium will break and that is why aluminium frames have replaceable hangers.Northwind wrote: It's like I covered it in superglue and rode it through ebay.0 -
