Should they not come with a securing screw ?
I didn't buy my grips direct from them i bought these grips and was told they were the same but the screw doesn't seem to fit

Oh my god how difficult are these to fit. I know they are in theory easy and look easy.
1. I was looking for a protruding screw and not a hidden screw which needs an allen key to tighten.
2. People on this thred have confirmed the grips are the same as the ones supplied by Superstar but the lock on rings that come with my grips tighten when you turn the screw.
Close the diameter of the ring.
The shape of the locking on ring is idential to the interior of the bar end!
These things a black piece of plastic gets pushed in but where is this supposed to locked onto ? The design of the bar end means the curve in the bar ends fits over the curvers on the grips meaning the black plastic bit is trying to grip onto the gap!
Please help I need to ride on Sunday
shows my exsiting locking ring on top of one of the bar ends same shape!

The thin piece of metal becomes compressed by the grub screw, thus tightening onto the bar without focussing too much pressure on a tiny point. This peice on the left hand cap, in the second photo has been bent inwards, presumably by overtightening while not on the bar. you need to loosen off the grub screw as far as possible, or at east so it is fully inside the bar end. you then need to bend the thin metal piece back into the recess this has left, either that, or try and take it out and flip it around so it is in the recess.
Also the grips need to be further onto the bar, the end peices of the plastic inner need to be flush with the end of the bar. In fact this may be the problem
Not trying to belittle atall, but I've recently installed identical plugs on my bars and it took approximately 5 minutes to fit, so something is awry somewhere.
Hope this helps. If not I can try to get photos of my grips without the end on so you can see what I mean about the metal foil and the grip placement on the bar.0 -
Hello to fit the grips safely the plastic tabs on the grip cartridge MUST be flush with the end of the bar. The grubscrew pushes on the plate which pushes on the tab to grip the bar safely. Looking at your pictures the metal plate in the grip has been bent because you have tightened the grubscrew into thin air. If your not using our cartridges i cant guarentee they will be the same fitment as our manufacturer and they might not fit.
Solution take the little metal plate out and bend flat again. Line up the ends of the grip cart with the end of your bars, pop on the endcap and tighten.
Any questions just drop me an email.

are you trying to install the end caps turned around by 90 degrees?
take the screw and the metal plate out, se if the cap fits on the cartridge and if it does, you can re fit the plate and screw and you are sorted. if it doesnt slip on, you need to get new cartridges or new bar ends0
