Hi folks,
I have Avid juicy three discs and i'm thinking oof upgrading thanks to a voucher i recieved, i'd like to stick with Avid as they have been faultless so far.

Does anyone have any advice or opinions?

I have just upgraded from Juicy 3's to elixir 3 first thing I noticed is they have better power and modulation than the juicy and the pad replacement is so much easier. Have had an issue with th rear squeling but copper eeze on the back of the pads sorted that. Other wise i'm impressed so far. Got them from Merlin for £112 for the pair including 185/160 rotors and all the fiting kit.

    hi mate,

I've upgraded from 3's to Elixir 5's F+R (203mm) and the difference is amasing. The Elixirs in my experience are leagues ahead, I love them.

CRC about £70 an end, delivered. Bargain. As said the pads are much easier to change, they're just better all round. Not saying 5's specifically are the way forward but Elixirs get a massive thumbs up from me

Why bother changing your brakes then? Get something else.

jesus that's tempting! - Merlin have a set for 210 as well!!

Quick Question - If I have a 185 IS disk mount already can I just screw a post mount into it as I'm looking to get new forks too - poor Suzy Soda is getting old!

Do you mean you already have the adaptor that changes an IS fork mount to 185mm post mount? If you change to forks with post mount you will need a new adaptor. If your new forks also have IS mounts then you will be fine with what you already have (as long as you are sticking to a 185mm disc).

yep, so you can't screw the post mount brake into a 185 IS mount ( as in the bit that turns the brake 90degs. I see (booo!)
