sti compatable?
I am currently renovating and old bike circa 95 7 speed cassette.
It has an old Shimano 105 SIS rear mech. I am thinking of getting STI all in one jobbies and seen a set of 7 speed Soras on ebay. I have been having trouble sourcing 7 speed indexed downtube shifters.
Would these be compatible with the rear mech or would i need to purchase new mech making it unfeasible.

It will work. All Shimano SIS rear derailleurs except old Dura-Ace and current MTB 10-speed are compatible.
But are 7-speed STI's easy to find?0 -
2 sets on ebay now, usually go for between £26 (if you're lucky) or NOS £102 (barking mad) - average about £40. House alarm woke me up at 5 this morning, non stop for 2 hours - b%£"&*rd!0
