Hi All,
Looking for a good training hill near Little Longstone, in the Peak District. Preferably with 20 mins ride and as long as possible, not too steep 10% max. Ideally low traffic density.
Am visiting for a short break and need to keep the training going for the Marmotte.
Might be able to squeeze a 3 hr hilly ride as well.
Any local recommendations?
Many thanks

Moor Road - awesome climb. And also you can go up Monxal Head road.

+1 for Moor Road.
Alternatively you can take the short ride south on the A6 and do the Nether Haddon /Stanton/Birchover loops.0 -
For a good 3 hour ride you can do some really nice routes - if you are a decent climber I would figure on 40-45 miles in 3 hours, less if you want to appreciate the stunning scenery. My 3 must do climbs in this area would include the Mam Nic (Mam Tor) from Edale, Froggat Edge from Calver and the climb out of Hathersage to Surprise Vew (these can be linked by descending down through Grindleford when you have climbed Froggat). There are plenty of others - Abney from Hathersage is a good distance, and it would be rude not to have a go at Winnats as well. Enjoy!0
