Hey,
Im looking into getting a new mountain bike to use mainly on my days off for abit of road and off road riding. but i would also once or twice a week like to have a go at riding to work (about 10 miles each way) At the moment i have a GT tempast 2.0 which i use for off road and abit of town riding but it isnt really a good bike for doing a 10 mile road ride.
What sort of bike would you guys recommend me getting? iv been looking at something like a specialized rockhopper and then getting myself a set of road tyres ,but im abit unsure how good it will be doing these sorts of miles
any advise??

Have you thought about a cyclocross bike? They`re envogue at the moment for the commute, can go on and offroad as long as you don`t expect to do gnarly offroad riding !!0

Yep I am riding a 8.0 at the moment. Which I had the 8.1 though but mine is a very good bike nonetheless. Can't go wrong with either. Doing 9 miles a day and cant fault it.Ride Safe! Keep Safe!
