Anyone any experience on taking their own bikes on a plane?
We're thinking of going to France - do bike bags give good protection? Can anyone recommend one?
I think we could drive but as we're all self employed it maybe more cost effective to fly?
Also a mate of ours lives in NI and we like to include him to trips to wales etc?
Alternatively, he could hire a bike? or we all could in Wales? Whast the best way?

Bike hire in Cwnm Carn can be found in the local town but they are hard tails only. Not too sure of the name of the shop but my mates did it for a recent stag-do.
The bags provide ample protection if you pack them properly. Google it and all will be revealed0
