Hi,
Sorry in advance if this seems a stupid request for help but i honestly do not know if i have done right or not so here goes.............

I have just purchased a new set of wheels for my BMC ( Easton EA50 AERO's) and they look absolutely stunning on the bike ( I.M.O ) but, and here comes my problem i need advice on, When i was fitting the tyres on the rims( and they were a right B'stard to do lol) i managed to damage the inner tube in the process ( 23c tyres) , The only one i could find that i had to replace it with a long enough valve (due to 30mm rim depth) was a Tesco special i had in the shed that i bought for a previous Boardman Hybrid bike which is a 28c inner tube!
Will it be ok to use a 28c inner tube in a 23c tyre???

Sorry for the long winded explanation of my scenario!

Thanks in advance for all advice.

Will probably be ok, try it and see how it goes, I've put (as a temporary measure) a 26" MTB inner tube in before and its been fine.

If you nipped a 23mm tube you might struggle to stuff the fatter 28 tube in there. If you manage it, then fine.

I've got the 28c in there and on the wheel, pumped up and ready to go, I took a bit more time and care fitting it lol.
Will i be ok though to ride the bike with it in there?

You'll be fine but having spent money on some nice new lightweight wheels putting a heavier 28mm tube in (given that rotating mass counts double) seems counter productive. I'd swap it out as soon as reasonably possible.
