Just a quick question. I'm new on here, but am keen to buy my first 'proper' road bike after using a cyclo-cross to commute for the last year........ Have caught the roadie bug!
I have found a bike in classifieds Im very keen on and contacted the seller, who will sell. Problem arises that the bike is a long way away and the seller wants paying via BACS, would you go ahead with this? Or is it leaving myself open?

Yes there is a risk associated as there is no protection like on ebay etc ... So you have to make a personal judgement.
I've bought many small items and done bank transfer with people on here and have had no problems what so ever. But anything big or expensive I would prob collect in person.
as far as I know. you can use pay pal but there will be fees if you want protection.0 -

I wouldn't expect a problem if the seller has been on here a while and we 'know' him."There's a shortage of perfect breasts in this world, t'would be a pity to damage yours."0 -
If the seller only has 1 or 2 posts I'd be cautious.More problems but still living....0

yep you can click the "profile" button under their user name and see if they have sold before and how often they post etc ...0

Cash on collection, or paypal gift via iPhone if all checked over and OK. I don't think I would order blind unless on eBay.0
