Creaky Race Face seat post

Morning all. My bike has a Race Face post where the back of the saddle is supported by a bracket and collar that clamps on to the top of the post: The collar creaks under load. If I tighten the collar enough to stop the saddle slipping, it creaks. If I loosen the collar slightly the creaking stops but the saddle gradually tips backwards. If I lube the inside of the collar and tighten it properly, the creaking stops but again the collar slides down the post and the saddle tips back.
In all other repects it is a nice bit of kit and I am loathe to swap it. What can I do to stop it creaking?

I looked at getting one of these whilst looking for a new seatpost blitz. Did a little research on-line and found the creaking to be a very common fault/complaint. On that basis I shied away. Not much help I know but seems to be a trait of this particular brand and clamp design (although it looks like it makes total sense and as you say looks a nice bit of kit!)....Assume you've tried the usual smattering of grease etc?0

I had a race face xc deus
this used to creak then the top snapped off

My old raceface evolve xc post used to creak too.0

Have cured it (so far) by soaking the whole clamp assembly (disassembled) in vegetable oil overnight, wiping off the excess then giving it a liberal coating of wet chain lube. Remove excess from around the clamp area and apply grease to the bolts and the underside of the bolt heads.

Good thinking batman!
I might try this with my dodgy old creaky knees!0
