edited May 2011 in MTB buying advice
Have been over to Leisure lakes in Daventry at the weekend and have ordered a Cube Ltd Comp 2011 in the red/white/chrome finish. It's through the cycle to work scheme so will save quite a bit on the RRP!

Has anyone on here got one of these ? I have been out of the game for a few years now but the bike was very well specked for the money and seemed to ride very nice indeed, it will be used as a daily commuter for work so the race geometry should fit the bill well :D

Have been looking for a review on this bike everywhere but I don't think it's been reviewed as yet ???

I have an 18" Cube LTD Race, to me the RFR geometry feels a bit cramped even with a layback post but I have short legs and a long body, if you've tried on out though and it fit's you then I'd heartily recommend it.

Second that...except I have short legs AND a short body. I bought the LTD COMP last November (Red/White/Bling combo) and its a sweet ride - gets loads of Commuter-Racing points every day on my trip to work.
Old, fat and that's just the bike.

I'm approximatley 5ft 8" so have opted for the 16" frame which I really like as I've always prefered my bikes on the smaller side, in my opinion it looks a lot better in the 16" as well, it floated on the back wheel quite nicely so I was happy enough :D

I went for the LTD Pro a few months back and I love it. Im 5' 7'' and went for the 18'' frame. Feels great, the 16'' felt too small for me.

I had a right blast round Bedgebury Forest XC Red Route a few weeks back and went down the freeride bit with the big berms and the jumps and it handled it fine considering its a pretty racy XC bike.

Im thinking I might like to try a full sus soon though!

its reviewed in another mag..... MBR ! its a good review too.....only thing it slates are the tyres..... rapid rob's, says "2.2in guise, the cube leaves a confident footprint in drier conditions and zips along on tarmac for its all-important crossover purpose.Just don't expect lots of traction in the wet ! " 28lb ish. 10 speed etc 100mm rockshox forks bla bla bla. gave it a 9/10......its changed my mind from a full susser to another h/t.......just trying presuede the mrs that i need another bike.

I have a Cube LTD Team and have previously owned the Comp. Both are great bikes, although I found the stem to be way to long at 120mm and swapped it for a 90mm. I suppose it depends what you use it for though, I found the long stem to hamper the handling on the trails.

Fast and lightweight, nice looks and good value, especially on the bike to work scheme. Consider getting the team, because you get air sprung Recon Forks rather that the Toras (which are oerfectly adequate). It's not that much more, especially after the discount spread over 12 months!
