  • had the same problem with my rear brake when braking hard. Rear end vibrating like crazy and making juddering noise. Took pads out, quick smear of copper grease on the back of each pad and problem solved.

The problem was probably solved when you replaced the pads properly, not the grease.

    Hi All
It happens when I am braking - rear disc and not all the time but often enough and it can be bad too. The front is ok. I am a noob with bikes so dropping the rear wheel or dismantling the calippers/rotors sounds like a very big deal to me. Went to the store I got it from and they had dropped the wheel and had a look at it, but the noise and virbation is still there.

I'm sorry, i don't understand, what do you mean 'got let by a car', and 'dropped the wheel'?.

The first thing that comes to mind is contamination, of pads and/ or rotor.

The next thing is caliper alignment to rotor, followed by attachment points of caliper.

Well a driver reversed into me while I was trning left. Since than the rear brakes has been making the noise. I took the bike back to the store I got it from and they where kind enough to inspect the bike, they dropped the rear wheel out and checked the callipers/rotors/pads.

Ah, then there is the chance the frame is now out of alignment.

    try a different bike shop.
