In one of my cycling magazines there was a review of light weight packable spring/summer cycling jackets that I would like to re-read. The problem is I can't find it. Can anyone remember which mag and which month it was in?

unless you want to spend loads i think the conclusion was get an Altura Pocket Rocket, was the most pack-able and very comfortable.

its been added to my shopping list for a while now...........

Get down to Aldi fairly quickly and get one of their lightweight cycle jackets, I've just picked one up and they are fine and dandy.
Packs down very small and should be just the job for sticking in a jersey pocket

The wife had "tidied" my mag away that's why I couldn't find it!

I like the pocket rocket but the colours didn't do it for me.

Even though I do 99% of my cycling on the road I sometimes go out downhill mtn biking with some mates from work. For them anything Lycra or high vis is just an embarrassment. As I also commute the black jacket wasn't really an option either. So I've ordered two and I'll send one back. I went for the Endura Rebound in red for £40 and the Montane FeatherLite Velo also in red for £45.

Have I made a good choice? It really is for emergency use only so should spend most of it's life in my back pocket on those days that look a little dodgy.

I've been hunting for something like this as well, want a very lightweight jacket that'll go in a pocket ready for unexpected coldness and rain. Got a nice Endura Windchill but it's too hot for the current weather and not packable. Did buy a Sportful Hot Pack 'cos they were going cheap at Wiggle but the cut is horrible, really tight even though I went a size up.

I've decided a bit more money needed to be spent and gone for an Altura Pocket Rocket, few quid more but I tried one on in the lbs and it fit nicely.

If I'd seen those Endura Rebound's though I'd probably have gone for that, decent price on those.

I swear by my Pocket Rocket, and it's in a rather fetching red (I didn't fancy dayglo or black either). Small, lightweight and effective in rain - pretty breathable too. Also got an Aldi untralight jacket, but quite flappy and not very breathable - now sits in mtb pack or emergency use only...
