Kirroughtree / Dalbeattie / Mabie Accomodation?

After our recent visit to Innerleithen / Glentress / Newcastleton, i'm now looking to sort out a trip to ride the 7stanes in the western Scotland area.

I'm looking for apartment / bunkhouse / hostel type accomodation but all i can find are B&Bs.

Can anyone recommend accomodation in the Kirroughtree / Dalbeattie / Mabie area please?

there are some cabins near dalbeattie, very cheap and nice.

It's not conventional, but we use the scout hall in Gatehouse of Fleet when we're riding down there.

It's £5 per head per night, with a minimum charge of £25. It has separate male & female toilets and showers plus a full kitchen. Sleeping arrangements basically involve everyone bunking down in the main room on air matresses. It's quiet, clean, warm and dry and within easy distance of all those trail centres.

This place looks quite good - Marthrown Of Mabie, especially the Marthrown Roundhouse.

Close to the trail head as well.

Anyone stayed there?

Constantly full of bikers, therefore suggesting it is good.
Mabie House Hotel is just down the trail a bit and you drive past the bike shop(The Shed)to get there.

Quite a few people have their meals at the Shed, esp breakfast

1/2 -3/4hr from Drumlanrig
