Evening all, been lurking on here for a while, finally decided to join up and thought it would be a good way to start by showing you what I ride.

I rode MTB`s throughout my teenage years but moved away from Cycling after passing my driving test and discovering Booze. However, I have always followed Cycling and decided to get my arse in gear about two months ago and started cycling into work. Its about a 35mile round trip and I do it 2 - 3 times a week with a 2-3 hour ride on weekends.

Really loving being back in the saddle and aiming to enter some Time Trials early in next years season.

Hope I have uploaded this picture okay, the seat looks really pointed down but it is not as bad as it looks, I had some hamstring pain on a long ride last week and a mate suggested I tried it out. Not convinced it has made much difference but will stick with it for another week.

Great choice of bike - looks good in that colour scheme.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I was getting worried that everyone hated Trek`s.
I do like the look of the bike, it’s just a shame Trek love to put so much branding on their bikes. It rides awesome and accelerates like a rocket.

Sold a few of these, nice bikes, good frame and some nice starter kit, only bad thing about them is the wheels, same wheels as on the 1.1! That saddle angle is as bad as it looks, seriously try it flat, you won't be doing yourself any good!

It is a lovely bike! Have you considered a bike fit though? That drop in height between the saddle and stem looks rather extreme... :? Anyway, I hope it rides as fast as it looks!

Saddle position so much better! Nothing wrong with that drop unless it's uncomfortable, nothing like some of the pros.

    Cheers for the positive comments.
Next upgrade will be the brakes, not sure what make / model, but defo need some more stopping power.
Got some BONT Vaypour shoes over the weekend, combined with the Keo Blade pedals, it feels a new bike.
  • Beautiful bike! I love Trek bikes myself by the way. First photo does not do it justice. Second photo is a lot better.
