has anyone used the superstar excel grips? if so are they any good
or has anyone else got any recommendations for grips to be used with largish hands, that also wont break the bank
currently got charge sponge grips but they are a little bit too thin for my liking

Just fitted some to my bike, not had a long ride yet, first impressions good. High quality, lock on easily, the CNC'd end caps are a good addition. Quite slippery if your hands are moist, but very comfortable, would probably recommend the use of gloves. Not sure on any long-term benefits of having them yet but can definitely recommend.0

Similar thickness to Lizard Skin Northshores but the grip is longer. I have them on mine and only used them for one ride but feel very good and comfy too.0

cheers for the input guys, i normally wear gloves when riding anyway so the slippery feel wont be too bad as you said
will get them ordered tonight, just need to decide on what colours,lol0 -
I went for grey grip, red collars, with the end cap upgrade, match my charge spoon perfectly. It is a bloody dilemma though, nearly had white with red and blue, red with white, white with white, red with red, white with red, black with red, red with black, took me about a week to decide!0

think i will go for the grey with red collars too, i have the grey spoon too lol
was gonna get either red or black with white collars as my bike is white with red bits, but would probably be a bit too much next to the white elixirs on the bar too0 -
Ive got a set with black grip and orange lockrings+barends.
I dont find them as grippy as the supagrip ones, but they are much thicker and spongier, and therefore more comfortable.0 -
yer there very good iv got the grey with gold lock rings0

They are massive compared to the supergrippa's, a great deal longer and alot chunkier (they would look a bit daft on narrow bars.) Much more comfortable aswell.
Only downsides on mine are that I went for white end caps, (paint rather than anodised, so chips very very easily,) and they appear to be wearing pretty quickly. But for the price, can't really grumble.0 -
I had some, personally I prefer something smaller as they're quite wide and meant my gears and brakes were pushed about 1/2 inch further away than I like them, the chunkiness is nice though.0
