Yay or nay? Need to sort myself out with a replacement and after deciding against white when I first got the bike, I'm tempted now. Worth it or does it just get filthy quickly?

err, the former.
Fizik Microtex. Resistant to grim and easily cleaned. It doesn't come up completely white but life is not a Persil ad.0 -
There are some very lazy people on Cake Stop today."There's a shortage of perfect breasts in this world, t'would be a pity to damage yours."0

Another vote for "yay".
A little bit of effort and it will stay presentable.0 -
Yup. Got it on my Ridley Xbow which I've used for cyclocross and whilst it does get filfy it can be cleaned up to a reasonable standard0

Yes, Fizik, looks good and stays white.0

White Lizard skins0

I have it on my WInter bike and it cleans up ok.0

Yep got it on the Trek and wish I'd put it on the Basso.I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0

I'd go for it - so long as you don't mind spending a bit of time cleaning it up it's easily good for a season before it gets too grubby - the microtex stuff may last longer I'm just using normal cork/spongey stuff.
it's a hard life if you don't weaken.0 -
Try this stuff http://www.parker-international.co.uk/3 ... -Tape.html it cleans up fine.0

I've got white tape on my bike that gets used all year round, I don't have any problems with keeping it relatively white. When its starts to get a bit grubby just get a cloth and some Cif, works a treat and only takes a minute or two.Road - http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40044&t=12777154&p=16943702#p16943702

Yay for white bar tape. Took the dive about a month ago after only ever having black tape. Certainly pimped the Wilier up a bit more.0

but if you you get cut up and subsequently knocked off or don't unclip in time and fall over, it'll look shite when the tarmac eats it.
And yes, I am talking from experience! :oops:0 -

The tarmac ate my last lot of black stuff . Took the hit and put the white Fizik stuff on, seems pretty cleanable0
