Veneto bikes: anyone know anything about them?

I'd been looking for a decent, second-hand, steel framed road bike for some time when I came upon a Veneto on Ebay. I didn't have that long before auction end and so I did all the research I could, but could find nothing about Veneto specifically. I knew it was a Columbus Zona frame, that the components were good quality, that it was in great condition and that it hailed from France, but that was it. Anyway, I went for it at its entry price and won it and have been loving it ever since, but I would be intrigued to know more about its heritage. Any input would be appreciated.

Cheers!

Owned by Orbea now, I think.

Thanks. Would be interesting to know what kind of a manufacturer they were prior to that. There is an address on the top tube for somewhere in Marseille (I believe) and I wonder if they were an independent.

The bike's about ten years old so I don't suppose they can have been bought up that long ago.
