Rides done at a (very) low intensity, they help you to recovery, when you need recovery (after a race, or other high intensity activity).0

I do them the day after Sportives. 1-1.5 hours gentle pedalling on a flat route keeping the reasonably high cadence and HR less than 65-70% of max . Then a rest day afterwards..0

Be careful though. When you're out on a recovery ride you'll more than likely get some nobber racing you
Let them pass and don't chase. Remember it's a recovery ride and is in fact making you stronger.Expertly coached by http://www.vitessecyclecoaching.co.uk/

Definalty, totally agree. Its so hard to keep to a pace when you get the "group competitor" going for it, espically if you have a competitive streak in yourself!
Just let em pass!!0 -

Do you have no shame :?: How can you let them pass? Recovery ride or no recovery ride, you must keep your pride in tact!0 -
Factor in a 15 - 20 min spin out at the end of every ride, this along with your rest days should be enough.0
