Try and get in a comfortable paced group for you and sit there all day.0

Dont ride to fast and you will be ok.
Ride in a group if you feel gooing too fast drop from them and ride slowly yourself and wait for next group.0 -
Do it for fun and remember that it is not a race.
Go at your own pace, or even better a group at your pace, and don't be tempted to up the effort to keep up. Better to finish slow than blow.None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.0 -

- don't get carried away at the start and take it easy for the 1st third
- eat regularly. stick with real food (not gels etc) if you're not sure what woks for you
- stay hydrated
- check your bike well before the start
- enjoy it!0 -
lay off booze the night before, drink enough water and eat properly in the evening, get a good nights sleep. eat a good breakfast"I get paid to make other people suffer on my wheel, how good is that"
