My son has a Ridgeback mx20 and we've been going out more often now but he cannot get his head around the Gripshift for changing gears and whilst riding moves his hand and the gears change when he's not expecting it which is frustrating when were doing small climbs.
I'm looking at getting a ThumbShifter and a new set of grips to try him with that,
Is this perfectly acceptable Shimano Tourney Thumbshifter http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220772164519&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
His bike is only a 6 speed and currently has the Shimano Revo Shift http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Shimano-Tourney-6-Speed-Bike-Revoshifter-Grip-Shifter-/300473552048?pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item45f59e8cb0
