Suggest trying the roads. Websites won't build muscles (well, some might  ).

Try Remenham hill near Henley, or the circuit that goes round Broadmoor Hospital in Crowthorne. Remenham may not be the safest, though I hear there is a better route nearby.

There is also a steep hill on one of the roads outside of Marlow, that dives under the A404, then uphill.

Is Whitchurch hill the one that goes from Pangbourne to Crays Pond?

Chinnor and particularly Stokenchurch are less than 20 miles away - ideal.

You can use Strava to search for local climbs. And if you have a GPS bike computer, you can ride the climbs (or create your own) and race against either your own or other riders previous climbs.

    http://www.strava.com

It's a bit US based at the moment (meaning most users appear to be in the US), but have found it pretty good. It's also free for 5 rides / month.
