    Very nice indeed.

I've shortlisted the Euros as my next bike. How are you finding it in terms of ride quality and handling?
    Specialized Venge S Works
    Cannondale Synapse
    Enigma Etape
    Genesis Flyer Single Speed

    Nice.

How many spacers have you got there?
VN claim that carbon steerers are only allowed 15mm, but that sounds quite conservative.

Classic style frame, loving the slender Van Nicholas frames. I want to see more frames built with Reynolds 953 too.

Are those VN shallow-drop bars? If so, what do you think of them?

  • Sorry about the late replies.

I’m enjoying the ride quality, I don’t know if it’s the titanium frame or forks but it does seem to dampen the vibrations on the road.

Hi is this a 56cm? How are you finding it, i have a Mistral (posted on here).

Yes it is a 56cm and I love the feeling of speed. I come from a touring bike background so the acceleration etc is great.

There are 30mm of spacers up to the base of the stem

    I really like them.

    Nice.......And I've just ordered one!

    You won’t be disappointed.

John - can you let me know how tall you are and what your inside leg measurement is please? I have a Mistral in a 56cm but i am still not convinced its the right size for me. The VN frame size calculator makes no sense to me so seing as were have similar bikes this would be a good reference point for me.

Hi, I'm 175cm tall with an inside leg of 86.36 cm.

Interesting as i am 178cm tall and have an inside leg measurement of 84cm thereore i guess the frame is correct. Do you find the 56cm is right for you?
  • It’s hard to say. I ride a variety of bikes, touring and a mountain bikes. The touring bike I ride has a 1cm longer reach but a much higher stem.

When I first sat on the Euros it felt smaller in reach than my other bikes. I’ve only ridden it up to 60 miles in one go and it has been fine. What stem length do you have? My stem is 12cm. Do you think you need a larger or smaller bike?

My stem is 110mm and i feel i need a bigger bike because when i am out of the saddle the bike feels small. I also have an issue with toe overlap on this bike (a problem i never had on my old allez).
