what year Trek have i got ?

HI all, long time reader but first post.
I have bought a Trek 4300 from a mate who cannot give me much info on it so just wondered if any of you guys could.
The paint work is similar to the 2010/2011 model but there are lots of little things on it that dont match up such as ...
Sticker on crossbar reads "4300" rather than "4 Series"
Isync Exceed 266 Forks rather than Gila RSt
Colour is red and white but can only see list colours of black and white
it has Alpha Custom Aluminium Stickers where the pics ive seen say "4300" and the cables are routed along the top of the cross bar rather than underneath it .... All small things and make no difference to my enjoyment of the bike so far but just wondered what year it was - thinkiong maybe its a womans version ? how would i tell ?

Based on the forks, 2001, but the colour is wrong.I don't do smileys.

The colour combination / design is the same as the latest models but cant find anything relating to the forks anywhere0 -
Forks, cable routing, cranks and even QR are not recent. Although things could have been changed, cable routing would not.I don't do smileys.

nah i didnt expect it was anywhere near new - was more an enquiry out of interest than anything else .
Still a good little bike for the money i paid and enough to get me back in the saddle after a holiday of about 20 years lol0
