    It's bIoody AWESOME!

I still can't get my head around how ace it is. I think the best form of proof that I really love it comes from the fact I've not upgraded anything in over a month, and don't feel the need to replace anything (something I've not been able to say about any of my previous bikes).

Clearly everyone currently riding anything else needs to admit they bought the wrong bike.

    Really though!

    !

i do wonder why the testers never seem to rate them very well, it just highlights how little i must know about bikes in the wider scheme.

i keep fancying a new bike, just cause its nice sometimes to have summat new but everything i look at for the riding i like to do makes me think "yeah, but the edison does that job" and i never get anywhere near to getting my wallet out.

All the reviews I've seen have been overwhelmingly positive. But they've all been from regular people and not the mags. I know there is a review on here of one from a few years back, but other than that I don't think I've ever seen a "professional" review of any Bionicon bikes.

The only potential gap I could see in my "stable" that's not filled as well as it could be by the Edison is for something like a geared, rigid scandal that I could use for commuting and light XC (disused railway lines and stuff). Purely to save on wear and tear on the Edison - It's certainly not something I'm desperate for though. May consider it as a long-term, low-budget build in the future, maybe.

ive read a few, the old golden willow review spoke really well of the bike a few years ago and i agreed with it whole heartedly, seeing as i bought one!.

more recently i read a magazine review of the edison and it got summat like a 7/10 which was fairly good but im sure there were more negative points than good in the conclusion, most notably was loads of criticism for the actual suspension action which given the fact that the bike is all about the integration of the frame and shocks is a bit of a nail in the bikes mainstream popularity coffin.

all i know is that if i hadnt genuinely found the suspension to be spot on, i would never have bought a second one and it had to be good to make me get rid of couple of bikes i really loved (especially the enduro which i miss a bit for nostalgia more than anything)

I'm going to blow the bank on a new build ( within reason ) NOW DONE!!

Haha, no, you're safe from trees there. If you do come off, you have a lovely soft (albeit prickly) landing on the gorse. Like a matress stuffed with hedgehogs

looks much better than i thought tbh. bad thing about not having trees is that it'll get very windy.
