Easyish route for a new starter In Essex

I should get a new MTB next week (Decathlon 8.1), can anyone suggest some easy rides around the Essex (based in Wickford), I can drive a little bit but not too far. I know of Langdon Hills, and Thorndon in Brenwood. Any other places where I could go? Thanks
