MicroShift STI integrated levers

Please excuse my ignorance. I am new to road cycling and my current bike has the levers that require me to change up the gears in one direction by using a thumb button on the inside of the hoods. This is proving very inconvenient at times.

It is now time for me to upgrade and I am thinking of buying the Felt F85. This is stated as having MicroShift levers. Are these similar to the Shimano 105 levers? Will I be able to operate the gears in both directions from the drops?

One last question, should I wait to purchase a bike with the 105 levers when funds allow or will the Microshift suit my needs until my next upgrade?

Microshift 10 spd levers work absolutely fine with Shimano 10spd drive train as they use the same actuation as Shimano levers.
Not sure about durability though, but I have heard that the performance of the actual shifting is on par with shimano 5600/6600 shifters.
