tyre/inner tube problem

Hi all,
I am new to road cycling and today I have made my first ride. The problem is that my tyres were not pumped well enough (I just have ordered a track pump). However, I have ridden my bike for about 10miles and on my way back, about 20meters from the doorway I have noticed that I have no pressure in my rear tyre. The tyre look new as it was. I cannot hear anymore air flowing out and I have no pump to check it.
Do you think that the inner tube is broken or it just released whole air because of the high pressure on the tyre?
Thank you in advance for your answers and sorry for taking time,
Kamil

Even if the tubes are not fully inflated they should still hold their air. When you say you noticed the rear being flat was it only when you were on the bike? The weight of having a rider on will squash the tyres down a bit.
Quite likely that riding on a low pressure has allowed the tube to get squashed about by the wheels and may have punctured. Take the tube out and have a good look at it, you're going to have to wait till your pump arrives till you can go out again without risking damage!0
