atlas padded bike bag

I loaned my bikebox to a friend who wont be able to get it back to me until the day after I fly out to Corsica (my fault as I didnt check dates) anyway I spotted a padded bike bag with a pair of wheel bags for £60 on ebay which seems like fantastic value.

I have never used a soft bag before so am i bit nervous, It has 15mm of padding but will this be enough to save my bike from baggage handlers or will i have to add some extra defence such as cardboard & pipe lagging? cheers
