hi all, i have one of those mini dv camcorders i recently got and when plugged in by usb the red light flashes for some seconds and after that the only light that appears is a flashing blue light, i tried to google this to find out if this is meant to be happening but could find nothing
but a review i read said there is meant to be a red light flashing when it is charging but it is defiantly blue
here is the product and to my understanding all these kind of camcorders are basically the same md80 thing http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002 ... ss_product
hope someone can help, thanks

Does the camera work?
Have you recorded anything with it?
Can we see it?
Cheers

I've got one of these, great for snowboarding. I haven't tried it biking yet.
It'll light up either blue or green when it's recording. Sorry I can't be more specific but I haven't used it for a while. The instructions had all the info in them.0 -

There's no way that yours is the same as that Amazon link if it's a MiniDV camera. It's just not big enough to house a MiniDV tape.0

thanks keith but do you not think i looked in the manual? :P
and plus that says nothing about a blue flashing light, only says something about it flashes blue when battery is low, my one flashes blue when charging with usb
it also freezes when unplugging from usb using windows 7 64 bit, which means whatever buttons i can press nothing will happen, so it all seems faulty, i am sending it back and getting another one sent again
hopefully the next one will be good, otherwise may not bother at all until i can afford something like a veho muvi or something
thanks allMy blog: http://kevincampbellsblog.blogspot.com

I thought that was a muvi, sorry. I can highly recommend the muvi. Have you given any thought to the best way of mounting it? Either handlebars or top of helmet?0

handlebars, i got some mounts with the product and one of the mounts fits onto the handlebars if you use some foam and cable ties and works quite well, apart from the camera itself :?My blog: http://kevincampbellsblog.blogspot.com
