Im currently attempting to fit a new deore xt chainset to my bike. I have got to the stage where you are fitting the driveside crank arm bit. I have inserted it into the frame, and pushed it as far in as I can, but it appears there is still about a centimeter more the axle can go in. I dont want to hit it with the mallet to hard incase I damage it. Is this a common problem, is there anything I am not doing right?
Thanks

hit it."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

either get it faced (or checked) or hit it."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Ive managed to get it on now, thanks for the help.
Im now almost ready to attach the chain (10 speed)
The included instructions make it very clear that the chain must be installed the right way round else it may snap. However, it does not say which way round the right way is.
Does anyone know which way round it goes?
