Hi I am very confused at the moment with sizing and fitting and stuff like that...
I would like to know if this crank set http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=65537 is compatible with this chain tensioner http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=54360
???
If it is what fitting?
And how do you install it?

    yes.

it depends on your frame. but it will work with your current cranks as well. just remove a ring and fit a bash. (the cranks need an Howitzer BB)

what chain line does the frame maker recommend?

    I guess 50mm.

But I would look at different cranks as the Howitzer is not the easiest for the home mechanic and causes more issues than others.

Look at the SLX and dont forget to get the BB faced if using external bearings.

What exactly is chainline? Is it measurable with a ruler??? Thanks for all the help by the way :)

center of the seat tube to center of the cranksets. (center of middle ring 3 ring shimano and inside of middle ring on Sram cranks).
