Safe to use mix + match brake pads?

hey all,
Ordered two sets of kiwk stop salmons with spare pads a week or so ago, but only received one set as they ran out of stock and dont expect any till mid may...
Question is, am I safe putting these on the front until I can get another set sent out for the back? or will the difference in stopping power send me hurtling to my doom somewhere on a leafy descent in Kent?
Thanks in advance!

I don't think you'll have a problem. The front brake does a lot more of the work anyway, so it's not like they'd be evenly matched to start!
However my experience of upgrading was that it didn't make so much difference I'd be flinging myself over the handlebars, so don't panic about that - just give it a bit of caution to begin with.
Good luck!0 -
it'll be fine
i found the salmons are a bit better in the dry vs. generic pads, in the wet they are far bettermy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
Yes- it will kill you. I suggest not using the brakes at all until you get a matching set.0
