Recently sold my cube and hardrock to get a carbon 456, one thing I have no idea over is wheel decals. Sure they aren't exactly important but for some reason I miss them from my cube. (they came with blue ones to match the colour scheme)

Is it possible to add decals to the wheel, and if so how hard is it?

I realize you guys will probably think I am weird wanting them but I can't help but feel a bit of red on my wheels would complete the red and black scheme.

Also if anyone knows any good red decals then could you send a link, not surprisingly it is hard to find MTB decals rather than motorbike ones.

Thanks in advance

ebay ; search for "wheel decals" then take your pick.

If you want red, here you have red. (as long as you dn't object to ZIPP!)

Hmm seems like ebay is the place to go. Has anyone applied any before? Any advice on applying or even letting me know how hard they are to apply?

Will only bother if I can get a high quality finish....

Have a look in yellow pages or on internet to see if there is someone local who does vinyl decals or ask a kid you know with a tarted up car.

I have a mate who does them (not touting for business he's too busy) and he can pretty much make anything if he can find the original on the web. He made a set of Honda CB400 vinyls for me for £25 and did another mate a load of decals for a Westfield kit racecar for £40.

tbh - I would not bother, been considering removing decals off wheels to reduce some weigh, ok, it maybe 1 or 2 g at most but every little helps.

Make sure the area your applying to is very clean & degreased then heat it up with a hair dryer or heat gun & apply carefully with a soft cloth to avoid air pockets. Simples ;)

I bought some wheels on ebay that had been sold to the seller as hope rims, spray painted white and hope stickers added, he sold them to me beinhg honest of what they were (suited me fine for the Doris bike).
