Apart from these new Vittoria corsa evo and Veloflex tyres the pro`s ride. Are there any other gumwall tyres out there that are cheaper and do a job. considering how shyte the british road surfaces are just now.

All sorts available.
Really cheap are old school Michelin World Tours. Old school in that there is no puncture protection! Then there are the Schwalbe Delta Cruisers I use on my Tourer. A little heavy, maybe not as durable as some but still very cheap. Michelin also produce the Dynamic in gumwall for a racier alternative and, more expensively, there is the Panaracer Pasela which is a nice touring tyre (putting a pair of those on my vintage Raleigh).
The Panaracers are probably more than you want to spend. The Delta Cruisers would be fine but I'm not sure they do the gumwall in less than 28c (if you want them narrower) so your best bet might be the Dynamics -http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?PartnerID=79&ModelID=61961
Less than 12 quid and available in 25c (and narrower but you probably don't want to go narrower!). They look nice too!Faster than a tent.......0 -
You can pick up Deda Corsa RS with tan sidewalls still. Condor Cycles usually stock them.0
